In June and July 2026, 48 national teams from around the world competed across the United States, Canada, and Mexico in the FIFA World Cup 2026™. This page serves as a central hub for technical and tactical insights gathered by FIFA’s Technical Study Group (TSG) and Football Performance Insights Team (FPI).

Straight after the final whistle in the New York New Jersey Stadium, FIFA’s TSG and FPI reviewed their observations and data to identify the tactical themes that defined the competition in North America.
