In this interview, two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ winner Tobin Heath discusses the influence the new Club World Cup format could have on its host country and beyond.

At the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, Heath will become the first woman to feature as a Technical Study Group (TSG) expert for a men’s FIFA competition at senior level. The former USWNT player’s international footballing résumé is as impressive as they come. She was a key player in her national team’s successful 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaigns, and a two-time winner of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament. At club level, the forward has played with several top teams across the world, including Paris Saint-Germain, Portland Thorns and Manchester United.
