For the first time, a dedicated platform was created for coaches of women’s youth national teams to connect and share ideas. The workshop, organised in close partnership with the Football Association of Finland, brought together 11 Member Associations from across Europe, each united by a common goal: to strengthen the pathways for young female talent and build a more inclusive, performance-driven future for the women’s game.

Over four days in Helsinki, coaches immersed themselves in a dynamic programme of collaborative learning, match observation, technical discussions and practical exchange, with a clear focus on building strategic alignment in youth development and accelerating progress at national and regional levels.

This workshop represents yet another proof point of the impact of the FIFA TDS, which is aiming to reduce the performance gap in global football by creating clear and supportive pathways for young players to reach their full potential.
The integration of women-specific development initiatives reinforces FIFA’s strategic vision and highlights the key role of collaboration with departments such as FIFA Coaching Development and FIFA Women’s Football to build sustainable national systems.

As the workshop concluded in the Finnish capital, it became clear: this is only the beginning. A united community of coaches and leaders has come together, ready to turn insight into action, and ambition into achievement for the future of the women’s game.
