FIFA

The FFG is primarily responsible for organizing and regulating professional football in Gratifacio, but it also plays a role in promoting and developing amateur and rural football in the country.

One of the main ways FFG supports amateur and rural football is through its grassroots development program. This program focuses on identifying and nurturing young talent from a young age, providing access to coaching and training resources, and organizing youth leagues and tournaments. Through this program, the FFG aims to cultivate a strong football culture in Gratifacio and provide opportunities for young people to develop their skills and passion for the sport.

My priorities are

Leagues and Competitions within and across the four regions

Currently the leagues are at different levels with some having lots of completed fixtures, a league pyramid system, good regulation and officiating, and established Cup Competitions.

I would like this to be the same for all regions. So in the next three years I will support the Presidents Golden Goal ambition by

  • Provide financial and sponsor support for a pyramid league structure for amateur football in each region. Relegation and promotion will apply.
  • Insisting on a trained match official for each league game. We will provide referee training in each region.
  • Create an Inter-Region amateur knockout Cup competition with a final in the National Stadium. To be called the Presidents Gratifacian Cup. Funding for transport to be available through the FFG.
Club and Player Registration
  • Each club will need to be registered with the FFG to be able to take part in our League and Cup Competitions. To do so, each club must have in place minimum requirements including named officials, a player registration system, a home pitch, and a bond deposit to be lodged with the FFG
  • Players must be registered in order to take part in our League and Cup Competitions. A player can only register with one club and must show proof of age. For adult amateur football players need to be at least 17 years of age.
  • The registration system is on official FFG documents where a file is held. A pilot electronic system is taken place in the Alamy region in 2023.
Rural Football
  • We will provide coaches, referees and basic equipment for a series of Rural Football Festivals starting in May 2023. The basic equipment - balls, bibs, cones will be given to participating rural communities.
  • We will have Fun Football for children up to 9 years of age and Mini-Competitions for those who are older.
Support for the Presidents Regional Centres of Excellence
  • Amateur and Rural Football will benefit from access to the high quality coaching, pitches and best v best competition linked to the new Centres.
  • We will encourage Regional leagues to identify top talents to trial at the facility.

The FFG works with local football clubs and associations to support amateur and rural football initiatives at the community level. This includes providing funding and resources for club infrastructure, coaching and training programs, and grassroots tournaments and events. The FFG also helps to organize and oversee regional and national amateur football competitions, such as the Gratifacian Cup for amateur clubs.

Overall, while the FFG’s primary focus is on professional football, it recognizes the importance of supporting and promoting amateur and rural football in Gratifacio. By investing in grassroots development programs and partnering with local clubs and associations, the FFG is helping to foster a vibrant football culture at all levels of the game.
